Wake Up America!
Diana Hartling
Sometime this past spring, I had a chance to hear Mary Lindow at a worship workshop at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in St. Louis. Somewhere during the course of the meeting I had an open vision.
In other words, I was wide awake and it just began to play out before my eyes in the Spirit. It was just like watching a movie. And I had no idea what would happen next. It was as though I was standing behind a camera watching each scene unfold.
It was winter, and standing in the distance I noticed a lone log cabin. As the camera drew closer, the front door opened and I followed as it focused in on a man lying on a small cot.
TORTURED BY PAIN
He looked to be somewhere around forty or so and was in extreme pain, so much so that his mind was out of it. His arms were stretched out and stiff, his expression distorted; tortured, would be more like it. His eyes closed shut, because of the deep pain he was suffering. His long sleeved white shirt was rolled up to the elbows and drenched in perspiration.THE DYING MAN AND HIS WIFE WERE PILGRIMS
I looked over the room crowded with people, but quickly my attention was drawn to two doctors bending over his bed and discussing what they could do for this poor soul. Everyone was dressed in period clothing. The doctors were dressed like the 1800s with black suits and top hats, while the man, his wife and others, were dressed as pilgrims. Finally, one of the doctors exclaimed to the other, We must operate now or it will be too late! They had hoped to move the man to a hospital, but now they had no choice, they must do something or he would surely die. And so they operated as everyone waited in expectation.
NATIVE AMERICANS WERE PRAYING
As the camera panned back outside again, I could see more people standing around, many of them praying, including some Native American Indians. As the camera again moved even farther back, I could see the world, and people from other nations expectantly watching from afar to see what would become of this man. Who could he be and why was he so important?TOO MUCH ANESTHETIC
The next voice came from one of the doctors. The surgery was complete, but a complication had risen. I fear we may have given him too much anesthetic! he exclaimed to his colleague as the people in the room strained to hear every word.WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
Wake up! Wake up America! he shouted, but there was no response. Then the doctor tried shaking him and repeating again, Wake up! Wake up America! Still, nothing. Was it too late? Everyone began to pray in great earnest for a miracle. The next thing I knew, the camera was back outside and it was snowing. I found that I was looking from a distance at the log cabin once more. Then a figure seemed to walk into the picture from out of nowhere. He was dressed like a fur trapper and walked up to the cabin and knocked on the door. A man stood on the inside of the doorway and asked the stranger, What do you want? But he did not reply, but stepped forward as if to come inside.Immediately, the man forcibly placed his hand across the threshold, blocking his entrance, and with a piercing glare, he looked as if to say, You're not wanted here.
ANOTHER MAN RECOGNIZED THIS STRANGER
But just as quickly, another man came up from behind him, and recognizing the stranger and his authority, demanded that he, Let him in! Slowly he pulled back his arm, finally letting it drop to his side. The stranger walked up to the lifeless body and touched his hand. Instantly, he sat up and was totally restored. He then began to weep profusely on the stranger s shoulder. Please forgive me. I am so sorry! I am so sorry! he kept repeating, as tears rolled down his face.THANKSGIVING
Everyone began to rejoice and thank God for the miracle. And as the camera drew back, I saw even the nations lifting their hands in praise to the Lord.LIBERTY
At that moment, for some reason, my eyes were drawn to the man's wife, who had been patiently standing at his side. And as I looked in her direction, her eyes caught mine, and then she turned into the Statue of Liberty. End of vision.INTERPRETATION:
For all the doom and gloom that has been predicted concerning this country over the past years, I believe there is still hope for America. God has not given up; He loves this nation and wants to see it raised up and restored once again.BEING FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH
When man has tried his best and failed, even to the point of death, God is able to do the miraculous and bring back life to that which is without hope.I believe, that although the enemy would try and keep the Savior Jesus outside the door, the Holy Spirit is determined to bring Him in and let Him bring healing and salvation to this nation. It is the goodness of God that leadeth thee to repentance. Rom. 2~4
THE NATIONS ARE WATCHING
The nations are watching to see what will happen to America, because they know how much it will effect them. All eyes are on us. God wants to give us hope as a nation, and remind us that true freedom comes with a price.IT REQUIRES HUMILITY TO PRAY
If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven , and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. II Chron. 7:14As we as believers begin to pray in unity and one accord under the direction of the Holy Spirit, we will see the miraculous happen, change will take place, and liberty will reign!
